  3.      This software maintains a list. A "Thing" is a scrap o
  4. information that is one line (80 letters) long. In the bottom
  5. third of your main window, various Things are displayed, 
  6. depending on the Filter on your list. Filters bring up
  7. selected items in the list. Each list can be up to 800 items.
  8. If you have the registered version ($30.00) you switch between 3
  9. such lists with File/Open. You can rename the files from File/Open.
  10. You may use 800X600 (large font) resolution or 640X480 resolution.

  12.      You can reverse the order of the list (the actual main list
  13. is not reversed, just your view of it) by clicking on the
  14. checkbox just above and to left of the list. This is useful,
  15. as often the most recent items entered will be viewed first
  16. in reverse order.

  18.      Special Feature: If you double click on a word in the
  19. long white "Thing" data entry box, a Filter (search) by that
  20. word would be done. For example, if the current thing reads
  21. "Fred is coming next Tuesday", if you click on Fred in the
  22. edit bar (not the main list) then all items mentioning Fred will
  23. come up in the listbox. Similarily, if you double click on
  24. a topic name, all things with that topic will be brought up.

  26.      Sometimes when you enter a new thing in, it will not
  27. appear in the main list. This is because the new item does
  28. not meet the current view's Filter request. This can be
  29. disabled with Options/always show new..

  31.      You may print the current visible list with File/Print. More on
  32. this and on copy/paste/group delete in the Edit/Options help
  33. section.

  35.      A series of filters may be applied to see different
  36. groups of Things. You may filter the list twice at any
  37. given time. More on this under Filters. Thus you could filter
  38. your list by Word (search for word), Date (various date
  39. critereon), Topic (you set up your own topics), Important
  40. (items can be marked important. A second filter can be
  41. drawn from these choices, thus you could search for Word
  42. ("Bill") and 2nd search for Imortant, thus bringing up a
  43. list of all items containing the word "bill" and marked Important.

  45. The 2nd filter is available when the button "2nd filter" is lit in
  46. light blue.
